Program Description:
How often we connect and how we connect has been paramount to our history as a civilization - and to our modern economy. It’s still staggering that we can pick up an object, dial 7 digits, and speak to someone on the other side of the world – just a few seconds later. Whether it’s landlines or mobile devices, the ability to hear another human’s live voice so easily and on such a personal level is nothing short of an engineering marvel.

Today’s mobile devices are ubiquitous in our society, and nearly everywhere in the world. Engineers are making those devices smaller, more integrated, and now more and more connected to the physical world.

Our keynote speaker is a successful venture capitalist who is focused on enabling the growth of the mobile device/mobile applications industry.  He will discuss the key factors for success in the mobile apps business.  We will then hear from three entrepreneurs that are pioneering advanced uses of mobile technologies – right here in our community.

They are all indeed scientists of connectivity... finding better, and more useful ways to share and live. Enabling our memories and anticipating loss, improving health tracking, and putting us at the center of our geographical physical location at every passing moment.
