Raising venture capital from traditional venture firms is not the only way to build a company. Sometimes it is possible to bootstrap without venture capital or to build with limited capital from angel investors. This can have a substantial effect on the dilution of ownership of the company.\n\nOn Wednesday, January 18, we will hear from three company founders/principals whose companies were built without professional venture capital. In fact, in two companies, their liquidity events were the first infusion of outside capital. \n\nOur three speakers will share their stories in brief presentations, followed by a moderated discussion and questions from the audience. Panelist-presenters are Dave Gross, founder and former CEO of FastClick; Karen Anne Platt, CFO of Network Hardware Resale; and Casey Hare, co-founder and Vice President of Multiprobe.\n\nAdvance registration $25, students with current ID $15. Payable by cash or check at the door. Advance registration preferred. \n |
